The mission of MSAD #40 Title 1A/ supplemental instruction programs is to provide high quality reading and math instruction so that all students can reach district and state standards.



Goals include the following:

• To provide high quality instructional programs and service
• To provide a strong, diagnostic approach to supplemental instruction and academic interventions, including the continuing development of Response to Intervention procedures
• To improve formative assessment in reading and math in order to improve our responsive instruction by incorporating NWEA data into our work
• To emphasize a proactive approach to family involvement and communication including the work of the Title 1A Parent Advisory Council
• To improve our communication of student progress and needs with teachers, students, and families
• To ensure that all Title 1A staff provide high quality direct instruction to Title 1A identified students
• To provide consistency across the district in services, programs, instruction and identification procedures
• To implement a consistent written identification procedure for students receiving Title 1A services
• To further develop record keeping and meeting procedures to improve communication about services provided to students across the district
