NEW!   We started a section on our District Moodle Site for community members to access courses about technology. "Moodle" is online course management software and allows users with an internet connection to access lessons created by our staff for both professional development and student learning. Moodle has lots of possibilities and a significant user base with about 40,000 registered sites worldwide and about 17 million users and we are one of those sites! One course,

Technology in education must focus on learning, not just computer skills. Students need to use technology to support their learning and prepare themselves to be active participants in a world immersed in technology; one that is changing; where they do more than react to the environment but effect change with vision and purpose.

The goals of the Technology Department:

Promote a system of professional development that supports teachers in their educational goals and keeps them abreast of current technologies and strategies.

Maintain a working infrastructure of technology equipment and software while anticipating for future needs.

Be responsive to student needs, interests and goals to create the best possible learning environment.

Use data collection for administrative and educational support.

Link our schools with our local and worldwide communities.
