MSAD#40 NCLB Advisory Committee

The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 has brought many changes to our schools. One of those changes is the requirement that Title IA parents be given the opportunity to evaluate and help plan Title IA programs in their child’s school. MSAD#40 believes that parents play a vital role in helping us shape programs that help their children succeed in school. We are opening this invitation to all parents, not just those with Title IA students.

The Parent Advisory Council (PAC) for Title 1A meets at least once a year.  This council provides a forum for parents to give feedback about what is working well, and what we can continue to improve.  During 2009-2010 the Parent Advisory Council assisted in the revision of the Home/School Compact.

All parents are welcome to attend the Parent Advisory Council meeting.  Dinner and childcare are provided and it is a great way to have input into your child's education!

Be on the lookout for more information about the first meeting.
