MSAD 40 Adult Education and Local Adult Education Programs Get Ready For Second Year of College Transitions !!!

The Lincoln County College Connection (TLC3) is a group of regional adult education programs including MSAD 40 Adult Education that are receiving grant funding from the Department of Education for a second year to offer college transitions programs for adults. The adult education programs participating in this Lincoln County collaborative include MSAD 40, Union 74 in Damariscotta, Boothbay and Wiscasset.   College transitions programs offer area adults free college preparatory assessment, counseling, academic instruction, workshops and support services to help them prepare for post secondary education.  This year, TLC3 will be offering a weekly daytime program in Damariscotta as well as evening classes at the other adult education locations to accommodate working adults.
The Maine College Transitions Project is one of the strategies advocated by the Compact for Higher Education to dramatically increase the education of Maine workers. Funding for the program was included in the two-year state budget proposed by Governor John E. Baldacci with the strong support of the Maine Legislature.
