Technology Committee
    
An idea sharing sub committee of the school board dedicated to development of technology resources for the educational benefit of students in MSAD 40.


Goals of the Tech Committee:

 
*Recruit participation of school staff and community members on a regular and adjunct basis to promote technology education in MSAD 40 based on the ISTE (International Society for Technology Education) standards, which focus more on skills and expertise and less on tools. Specifically, they address;
 
 
  Creativity and innovation;
  Communication and collaboration;
  Research and information fluency;
  Critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making
  Digital citizenship; and
  Technology operations and concepts
 
*Develop school resources for the purpose of real life experiences, community networking and service learning.

 
*Professional development for school staff

Committee Structure:
The Technology Committee meets monthly. Place and time will be posted on this page. Meetings are open to the public. The Technology Committee, reporting to the administrative team and school board, will develop consensus through collaborative efforts of members, and other participants, with members having voting privileges.
